Hello Vineland Community,
I am so excited to be here. I look forward to getting to know and work with you, your families, and your student this coming school year! I enjoy teaching and I try my hardest to find the best in every student. I hope to see Herons Soar in my classroom and in our school.
I have been teaching K-5 grades in public schools for over twenty years, first in California, and most recently in Pennsylvania. I have taught as a regular classroom teacher and as an ESL Program Specialist. I have earned my master’s degree in education, gifted endorsement, and ESL Program Specialist Certificate. As a lifelong learner, I recently completed my reading endorsement.
I have been married to Scott Andrews for over 30 years. We have two sons, Bennett and Ethan. Bennett just graduated from college in May 2022 and is employed as a software engineer in a suburb of Madison, Wisconsin. Ethan is currently a college student with an interest in cybersecurity. Rounding out our family are two retrievers. Nala is a black lab mix and eleven years old. Mocha is a silver lab who is two years old.
Some out of school activities I enjoy are: swimming, walking our dogs, reading, and watching Soccer. My favorite teams are USMNT, Inter Miami, AC Milan, and Premiere League. I also like going to the beach and boogie boarding.
