Dawna Cote was born and raised in Bedford, New Hampshire and moved to Port Charlotte in 2017.  Mrs. Cote graduated from Keene State College in NH and holds a Master of Education Degree with dual certification in Elementary-General Special Education. She has over twenty years of teaching experience in various positions ranging from the first through the seventh grade. This will be Mrs. Cote's sixth year at Vineland.  She feels fortunate to be working with the first grade and third grade teams. No matter where she is teaching, Mrs. Cote considers it an honor to try and see the world through the eyes of her students. 

 In her free time, Mrs. Cote loves to spend time boating and exploring the exquisite marine life that the Gulf Coast has to offer.  She is also the proud mother of three adult children, two of whom serve our great nation in the US Army. 

Personal Mission Statement:  My mission is to foster an environment that will promote leadership skills and a passion for lifelong learning in all of my students. I will strive to help them recognize and advocate for the tools they need to find academic, social, and functional success.
