• Media Center

All students visit the Media Center on a weekly schedule with their class.  Students are also welcome to visit the Media Center independently during open media times.

During class visits, students check out and return books, read for pleasure or information, listen to stories, engage in reading skills lessons, collaborate with classmates and practice research skills with library resources.  Lessons are based on Information Literacy and Language Arts Standards.

The Media Center houses over 9,000 books, both fiction and non-fiction, at all elementary student reading levels.  Freedom to choose books is encouraged as we want to foster authentic reading experiences and develop life-long readers.
