I am originally from Illinois but I moved to Florida in 2002 for college.  I am starting my 10th year teaching in Southwest Florida  This is my first year teaching in Charlotte County.  I am a dedicated educator and extremely excited and thankful to be part of the Deep Creek Elementary family!   I graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with my Bachelors in Communications and Marketing before going back to school to become a teacher.

I have a daughter and a son both in Charlotte County Schools this year.   My son is starting 4th grade at Deep Creek Elementary and my daughter will be starting middle school this year at Punta Gorda Middle.  We love spending time together as a family (which includes our three dogs Dexter, Blackjack, and Flash).    For fun, we love Universal Studios, movies, and anything Marvel.  

I absolutely love teaching and seeing my students light up every day.   I look forward to working with my incoming kids and seeing how much they all grow during their 4th grade year as we build each other up academically, socially, and emotionally.    Together is BETTER!
