Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! My name is Sarah Schwartz.  I was born in Dayton, Ohio.  I am a graduate of Wright State University in Dayton where I was a NCAA divison I swimmer.   This is the start of my 20th year teaching.  I have been teaching at Deep Creek for 14 years and I previously taught for 6 years in Ohio.  I have taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grades.  But I have to admit 4th is my favorite!! I live in North Port with my husband, Jason, daughter, Zoe, crazy dog, Lola, and tailess cat, Alice.  Zoe was a Deep Creek Cub and is now in 8th grade at Punta Gorda Middle.  I enjoy running and run almost everyday.  I have completed 6 marathons and several half marathons.  I  spend most of my free time at the pool taking my daughter to swim practice and watching her at meets on the weekends.  As a family we enjoy going to Disney and traveling.  We have been fortunate enough to walk on glaciers, cross the Arctic Circle, visit the Blue Lagoon, and hike through several National Parks.
