CHARLOTTE HARBOR SCHOOL

All about Charlotte Harbor

  • Charlotte Harbor Center is an exceptional school in Charlotte County. In 1980, CHC opened its doors to the public. Our school is located off Tamiami Trail on Hancock Avenue behind Peace River Elementary School, nestled within a park-like setting with mature oak and pine trees throughout our campus.

We are a public education center school that has programs for grades Pre-kindergarten through 12th. We are also a Postive Behavior Support (PBS) campus where positive behaviors are supported by positive reinforcement or rewards. Charlotte Harbor has three separate programs on our campus: West Campus, S.A.N.D.S and the S.A.I.L program. We offer physical and occupational therapy, speech, language therapy, vision services, art and music, aquatics and a vocational program on and off campus.

Our adaptive playground opened in October 2011. This inclusive playground promotes physical, cognitive, visual and hearing experiences for all students. This was a project that the Punta Gorda Rotary Club sponsored along with help from local businesses, organizations and general public. It is enjoyed by our students and is open to the public after school hours.
