Charlotte Robotics Team 13093 Attend World Championship in Houston, Texas

Charlotte High School's robotics team 13093 Golden Fish showcased exceptional talent and innovation at the FIRST Tech Challenge CENTERSTAGE World Championships held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX from April 16-20, 2024.

Competing against top teams from around the globe, Charlotte High School's Golden Fish made their mark, achieving a remarkable seven-win, three-loss record and securing a 13th place ranking out of 56 teams in the Franklin division. Their performance positioned them as the top Florida team at the event and marked a significant improvement from their previous world ranking of 116th.

The team's innovative robot design earned them the prestigious Innovate Award sponsored by RTX. Their robot, featuring a unique design with three arms, a fast drivetrain, and custom parts, impressed judges with its consistency and creativity. Extensive 3D CAD models showcased the unique features of their robot design, earning them recognition for their innovation and creativity.

"We are incredibly proud of our team's accomplishments at the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championships," said Superintendent Mark Vianello. "Our students have demonstrated exceptional talent, dedication, and innovation throughout the competition, and they have represented Charlotte High School with pride."
